Review by hotel critic
During our recent Christmas stay at Hotel de la Gare, I was delighted to discover that this charming establishment is housed in one of the oldest buildings in the village, enriching our experience with echoes of history. The rooms, rustically furnished, offered stunning views of the Dents du Midi, creating a picturesque backdrop for our holiday escapade. Mornings began beautifully with a splendid continental breakfast featuring an impressive variety of options, ensuring we were well-fueled for our explorations. The hotel's location was also a major plus-conveniently situated near a train station, making travel easy, while ample parking nearby alleviated any worries about our vehicle. As a history teacher with a passion for cultural exploration, I appreciated not only the inviting atmosphere but also the safety features in place, including smoke detectors and a security system, which added an extra sense of comfort to our family getaway. My family and I found Hotel de la Gare to be a delightful blend of charm, comfort, and historical significance, making it an excellent choice for anyone looking to immerse themselves in the beauty of this remarkable region.
